Shop Terms and conditions

Thank you for visiting ukphotographics on-line shop. We do our best to ensure that you enjoy a speedy and efficient on-line shopping experience, but if you prefer you can contact us by phone or e-mail to make a purchase, resolve any problems or request information. You can e-mail us at any time on customerservice@ukphotographics.co.uk or you can call us at any time between 8.30 and 5.30 weekdays and 9.00am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.

Ordering
In ordering from ukphotographics.co.uk it is assumed that you have read, understood and accepted the Conditions of Purchase displayed during the purchasing process. For reference, these are listed below.

There are no limits on ordering. However, large or multiple orders will be tracked and UK Photographics reserves the right to rescind acceptance of your order if it is felt that the order is not for your personal use.

UK Photographics will e-mail you with confirmation of the receipt and acceptance of your order. UK Photographics at its sole discretion may rescind acceptance, in whole or in part, of any order containing incorrect, insufficient or unreadable information, whether this results from technical malfunction or any other cause, or in cases where the order is in conflict with the Conditions of Purchase.

Items on one order are sent to the same delivery address.

Supply
UK Photographics reserves the right at its sole discretion not to supply certain customers, or customers outside of the UK.

Unconfirmed orders
Often we have to contact a customer in order to confirm acceptance of shipping charges, resolve a problem with verification of credit card information or clarify some other billing or address issue. Please be advised that while we always do our utmost to reach you by phone and e-mail, we cannot maintain orders in an unconfirmed state indefinitely. If we cannot contact you within three business days of receipt of your order, the order will be cancelled, so please ensure that you provide us with contact information that will enable us to reach you in a timely fashion should the need arise.

Credit Card payment
The customer's card is debited at the time of processing the purchase by Worldpay, a highly reputable internet payments processing institution.

After reviewing order details, the customer may opt to proceed to payment. The customer will in this case be conveyed to the Worldpay payment screen. After entering their credit card details into this screen, the customer receives a message from Worldpay as to the success or failure of their transaction and is then conveyed back to the ukphotographics.co.uk web site.

UK Photographics does not have access to card details unless a Member calls UK Photographics to place or complete an order on their behalf. In this case the customer's card details will be entered onto the system by UK Photographics Customer Services but the information is not stored by UK Photographics.

Refunds will be transacted by Worldpay on behalf of UK Photographics.

Data is encrypted for the customer's safety. UK Photographics cannot be held responsible for a security failure originating with Worldpay or other suppliers.

Cancellation
In the event of an order not being fulfilled within 5 weeks, an e-mail will be sent to the customer giving the option to cancel the order. After ten weeks the order is cancelled and the customer's money refunded. The customer is advised to re-order if necessary.

If an item increases in price during the period between order and dispatch, UK Photographics will contact the customer and ask for the additional payment or for a cancellation of the order. In the event that the order is cancelled, the customer's original payment will be refunded.

Shipping and Delivery information
UK Photographics uses ANC as its delivery partner for packages in excess of 400g and the Royal Mail for packages below that weight. For unusually large or heavy items or orders, special delivery charges will have to be negotiated and in this event you will be contacted directly by UK Photographics. Except for such large or heavy orders, the packaging and delivery charge will be shown clearly on your order before you enter any billing information. For delivery you pay the actual cost and no more charged to us by ANC. In addition, we add a small charge, related to the overall value of the transaction for packaging materials and handling.

Please allow five business days for delivery. If for any other reason delivery is likely to take longer than expected, we will contact you to notify you of the expected delivery schedule.

Returns and refunds
Returns are accepted for any reason within the 21-day refund/returns period. This period begins on the date that the order is delivered to the shipping address. Returns will only be accepted if accompanied by a valid Returns Authorisation Number entered on the dispatch form (never write anything on the manufacturer's box). A Return Authorisation Number can be obtained by contacting UK Photographics at customerservices@ukphotogrpahics.co.uk or calling us at 01780-767711

Customers returning goods are advised to use registered post or recorded delivery as UK Photographics cannot issue refunds for returned items lost in transit.

For all Returns please do the following:

  • Contact us by e-mail at customerservices@ukphotographics.co.uk or by telephone at 01780-767711 explaining the reason for the Return and requesting a Return Authorisation Number.
  • Fill in the Return Authorisation Number on the dispatch form in the appropriate box
  • For your reference please make a note of the order number and item number(s) given on the dispatch form
  • Indicate the return reason code at the top right of the dispatch form
  • Indicate whether you would like a replacement
  • Wrap the item(s) and the dispatch form in the original packaging and return to Returns Dept, UK Photographics, PO Box 172, Stamford, PE9 4QB

UK Photographics cannot accept merchandise for return if any of the following are missing or damaged:

  • original manufacturer's packaging (must be intact and undamaged)
  • all of the manufacturer's included accessories
  • all included warranty or guarantee cards and papers (must be blank)

Customers with the wrong item, a duplicate, or who have been sent something which was not ordered are requested to e-mail customerservices@ukphotographics.co.uk with the details (name, address, date on dispatch form, order number, item received, item wanted) before returning it to UK Photographics, PO Box 172, Stamford, PE9 4QB

Please note that UK Photographics will not refund returns postage and packing charges except in the demonstrable event that the customer has received an unordered item, an item damaged in transit, or a severely faulty item.

Refunds are normally processed within a week of receipt of the returned item at UK Photographics. Where refunds are requested, UK Photographics will search the customer's order record to prevent instances of fraudulent requests.
