In addition, we make use of cookies, which are small files that a web site places on a visitor's hard drive to tailor and keep records of his or her visit to the Site. Cookies allow web site operators to better customise visits to the Site according to the visitors individual preferences. The use of cookies is standard on the internet, with many major web sites utilising them. Although most web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies, you can usually change those settings to prevent cookies from being deposited on your hard drive, or at least notify you whenever you are about to receive a cookie so that you have the opportunity to decide whether or not to accept it. At UK Photographics we use cookies to keep track of your on-line shopping cart and its contents, and to save personal preferences that enable us to deliver content specific to your interests. The cookie itself does not tell us who you are, nor does it reveal your e-mail address or anything else personal. Even if you decline our cookies, you can still access most of the features of our Site.

Our web site contains links to other sites, but we do not pass any information to those sites. UK Photographics is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these web sites and you should check their privacy policies before sharing any private information with them.

Whenever you place an order with us, join our mailing list, participate in our forums, respond to an on-line survey or enter one of our competitions, or shop on-line with us, you will be asked to provide contact information (e.g. name, address, e-mail address etc.). We use this information to ship your order to you, contact you about any issue involving your order and/or occasionally send you information about our company.

When you place an order in our shopping area you will be conveyed to the Worldpay payment screen and you will be asked for additional information (credit card number etc.).

UK Photographics does not have access to card details unless a Member calls UK Photographics to place or complete an order on their behalf. In this case the customer's card details will be entered onto the system by UK Photographics Customer Services but the information is not stored by UK Photographics.

All your private data is secured using industry standard SSL, Thawte and World Pay unique encryption systems, which safely encrypts the data before sending it to us. Also note that we never disclose your personal information to third parties, except where required by law or in order to provide you with a requested service.

Please remember that our message board is a public forum and any information you share there immediately becomes public information, so be careful about what you disclose.

Merger, asset sales etc..
If UK Photographics or any of its lines of business is sold, pledged or disposed of as a going concern, whether by merger, sale of assets, bankruptcy or otherwise, then the member database of UK Photographics could be sold as a part of that transaction and all member information accessed by such successor or purchaser.

UK Photographics may from time to time change this privacy policy with or without notice, so please check it regularly for any changes or updates. For future reference, UK Photographics will make a link to the current privacy policy available to you on your screen when you are on our web site.
