Born in Devon, England in 1981 I grew up in Tavistock, where at a young age I was inspired by many local community artists, as well as the breathtaking scenery of Dartmoor and the North Cornish Coast. Having studied A-Levels in Art & Design, Tavistock College, it was at this point that my interest in Photography was kindled, and after attending a taster course at Plymouth College of Art & Design. I went on to study a City&Guilds evening class in Photography, and under the master tuition of the late I gained a Distinction in the subject. After finishing my A-Levels I took a year out and went to travel Australia. In the eight months I spent there I qualified as a dive master and gained an interest in underwater photography, spurring me on in my quest for creative photography.
